The Easy Life in Kamusari by Shion Miura is about a young boy who is introduced to the Japanese art of forestry in a remote town away from the city.
I used a traditional Japanese painting framed by the sugi trees. If you look closely there are two characters from the book amidst the village.

Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë is a book where everyone hates each other to death.
The Christian storytelling elements and constant reference to the devil inspired this cover. I imagine the devil to be gold-foiled in print.

'Lolita' is a classic that has many covers, and most of them misrepresent the book. Lolita's image should NOT be exploited on the book's cover.
The book is from Humbert's perspective, a child predator. It should rouse curiosity by looking unsettling and making people uneasy. That's the basis of my version.

Cobalt Blue by Sachin Kundalkar is a Marathi book set in a typical middle class household, which gets disrupted when an unconventional artists moves in.
The original cover uses surreal imagery but I feel like an artistic cover with elements from the old home would suit it better.

Listening to Whales is a memoir of the wildlife scientist Alexendra Morton who spent twenty years following and studying killer whales around British Columbia.
The original cover used Papyrus and simple photographs. I tried to imagine what it could look like on the shelves of today.
